Eastbourne

A different kettle of fish to Brighton. I stayed at the Langham Hotel near Eastbourne Redoubt in a high up thin room from which I could see and hear the sea. This slice of nature. I cold see the razzamatazz of the pier. Eastbourne is unremarkable on the outside. The seafront is unified, owned by the local duke. Its nice to sit and watch the world go by from the veranda. In the bar on Sunday a ‘turn’ from Merseyside, ladies bowling clubs or English professional dressed up. All kinds of English. the head barman a charming, handsome older German but he went home. Rain lashed dark oak revolving doors and marine paintings. Most of the staff Polish, except the management.
