Heptonstall to Burnley

Heptonstall in Yorkshire is the last resting place of Sylvia Plath. From the town of Hebden on the Rochdale Canal below climb the biblical steep paths or road to the buttress of Heptonstall. The town soot black and unspoiled. Look out across the dales from this unique viewing platform. Via Slack and Widdop on Halifax Road reach the watershed of quintessential Lancashire moors. Flanked by reservoirs with views westwards. Freewheel for miles through elevations via Lane Bottom to Burnley.
